FAQ
In short everybody. I truely believe that everyone can benefit from Pilates in someway.
No matter where you are at in your body there is always some type of functional movement that can help you take care of it. However if you do have any special requirements or questions please get in touch to see if Pilates and I are the right fit for you.
Clothes that you can move freely in and are comfortable.
Pilates is not a high intensity form of exercise so I would advise wearing layers to ensure you are warm enough throughout the class.
No shoes (unless there is a medical reason), socks are fine, grippy socks can be beneficial to prevent slipping but are not a necessity.
When doing any form of exercise a bottle of water is always beneficial to ensure you stay hydrated. I would recommended using a bottle that closes completely to avoid any spillages.
Any of your own equipment is great, like a mat, head cushion, sitting blocks however if there is anything you don't have this is not an issue as some of this can be borrowed.
It is always beneficial to invest in your own equipment, especial if you want to practice Pilates at home. However it is not always possible or practical to purchase a load of equipment when beginning a new hobby.
This is why I carry a basic level of mats, sitting blocks and head cushions that you can borrow until you have your own.
I would highly recommend starting with getting your own mat, followed by sitting blocks and then a head cushion.
